PAT Cahill – Principal and Chief investment officer

Pat is the firm’s Chief Investment Officer responsible for all company investment activities, including transactions (acquisitions/dispositions/capital markets), development (ground-up and substantial rehabilitation) and partnership/joint venture formation. He has been responsible for over $1B in company transactions and is one of three investment committee members.

He has prior work experience in mortgage banking (CBRE, San Francisco) and CMBS origination (Merrill Lynch, New York).

Pat received a BA from Boston College and an MBA from UC Berkeley.

Billy Cahill – Principal

Billy is responsible for acquisitions, dispositions, capital markets transactions, development management and asset management. Prior to joining the Cahill family companies in 2010, Billy worked in FTI Consulting’s Corporate Finance Group in New York, NY.

Billy earned a BS from Boston College and an MBA from Wharton.

Kenny Cahill - Principal

Kenny is responsible for acquisitions, dispositions, capital market transactions and asset management in Colorado, Phoenix, Sacramento and San Francisco.

Prior to joining Cahill, Kenny received his BA from the University of Southern California and MBA from the University of Texas at Austin, concentrating in real estate finance.

Derek Taylor – Chief Operating Officer

Derek Taylor joined Cahill in 2003. In his role as Chief Operating Officer for, he is responsible for the day-to-day management of the firm. Derek also leads lease negotiation for Calfox’s San Francisco office properties. 

Prior to joining Cahill, Derek and had a ten year career in direct broadcast satellite industry, serving a variety of roles from product to channel management and direct sales.

Derek graduated from the University of Puget Sound with a B. A. in Business Administration and Professional Writing.

Alfred Leong - CFO

As Cahill Equities CFO, Alfred Leong oversees all accounting, tax, and finance matters. Alfred brings over 10 years of business and legal experience to the Controller role. Prior to joining Cahill Equities, Alfred was an assistant controller for DivcoWest where he managed the accounting for commercial real estate debt funds totaling over $1 billion in assets.  Alfred is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the State Bar of California. Alfred earned his J.D. from the University of California Hastings College of the Law and a B.A. in Business Economics with a minor in Accounting from UCLA. In his spare time, Alfred coaches youth basketball and volunteers as director of Sunset Youth Hoops, a sports ministry of Sunset Church.

Han Auyeung – senior associate

As a Senior Associate at Cahill Equities Han works with the Chief Investment Officer underwriting new projects by developing, interpreting and implementing financial planning into new and existing business models.  Han earned an undergraduate degree and MBA from UC Riverside.

 

Kellen Mccoll - Director of asset management

Kellen joined Cahill in 2022 and is responsible for asset management of the multifamily portfolio. His prior experience includes multifamily development with The Hanover Company and corporate transaction and portfolio management with Salesforce. Kellen holds an MBA concentrating in real estate finance from The University of Texas at Austin and a BS in Management Science & Engineering from Stanford University.
